Hi all! Thought I’d do an intro to give a little back story on the start of Great Lakes BaE. I’m Allie, wife to one pretty cool dude and mom to four super crazy, awesome kids living in Michigan. Eight years ago my husband, Brandon, was diagnosed with Stage IIIB Gastric cancer. As a “younger” mom and wife, I was made acutely aware of how we needed to ‘appreciate the little things’ and not to ‘sweat the small stuff’. I took time shared with family and friends for granted as something we’d always have in unlimited amounts. The outpouring of community support from day one has inspired us to try and give back when we could over the the past almost decade. We donate and share to campaigns when they have crossed our path but it never seemed enough. We always wish we could do more because we had been so blessed during our struggle.  

     I spent this past year trying to refocus on how we can accomplish our ultimate goal of paying it forward in bigger ways and helping others see more silver linings. Enter the start of Great Lakes BaE! Great Lakes BaE, an emerging home decor and hospitality brand dedicated to the love of lake life, entertaining, and above all time spent with family and friends.  My intent is to share my positive spin on life’s challenges with the hope to brighten even one person’s day and eventually homes with the products we create. So “Like, Follow, Share” if you enjoy being a part of the good in the world! We have gained 8 extra years and 2 extra kids from the kindness of strangers in case you ever question how big of an impact small gestures can make!
